Oh Mungood

Oh Mungood is a Swedish start-up offering healthy, plant-based products made from mung beans.

During my internship at Oh Mungood, I was responsible for designing their magazine, which aimed to inspire school kitchens and the public sector to serve more plant-based meals to students. I ensured that both the tone and visual style aligned with the brand’s identity.

The challenge

One of the main challenges was to create visually engaging content that could both inform and inspire while striking a careful balance between being educational and inviting. A key challenge was to communicate the benefits of plant-based food in a way that felt accessible, engaging and visually appealing.

Solution

To meet the needs of the target audience, I created a clean and structured layout with a clear visual hierarchy. Generous use of imagery helped spark interest, while short text blocks made the content easy to scan. I used warm, earthy tones and rounded typography to echo the brand’s natural, welcoming identity.

The final magazine was both inspiring and functional. It became a tool to support positive change in public kitchens while encouraging more sustainable, plant-based food choices in schools.

Conclusion

This project allowed me to combine creativity with purpose, designing a product that not only aligned with Oh Mungood's brand values but also contributed to a larger societal goal. The successful reception of the magazine affirmed the importance of visually engaging, informative content in driving change, especially in public sector initiatives.
